About the Camp
Dates: August 6 - 12, 2017
Check in/registration: Sunday, August 6th from noon to 2:00pm at the Partridge Rowing Center.
Check out: Saturday, August 12th at noon at the Partridge Rowing Center.
This camp is focused on the development of high school rowers for success at the junior and beyond. In addition to rowing on the water twice per day, there will be daily sessions between the water practices on the following topics:
- Proper erg technique
- Lifting technique and exercises for rowing
- Equipment care and basic rigging
- Video review of on the water sessions
- RowPerfect3 stroke and power curve analysis
- The college recruiting process
The camp will have access to multiple Kent School facilities including a fitness center, rowing facilities, indoor rowing tanks, swimming pool, and an air-conditioned auditorium for lectures and video review. We will row on the Housatonic River out of the Partridge Rowing Center on the campus of Kent School. The boathouse is a three-minute walk from the dorms and dining hall and a seven-minute walk from the town of Kent.
